Action catalogue – an online method tool that lets you find the exact method you are searching for
The Engage2020 Action Catalogue is an online decision support tool that is intended to enable researchers, policy-makers and others wanting to engage society in research and innovation, to find the method that is best suited for their specific project needs. The Action Catalogue includes 57 methods, and is publicly available so that anyone can search the methods, read thorough descriptions of what the methods do, strengths and weaknesses of each, what societal challenges they can be used to address, and examples of what they have been used for previously and much more. Science, Society and Engagement – An e-Anthology
This interactive document provides the perfect entry point into the Engage2020 project. The Anthology contains chapters by leading engagement practitioners in Europe and also provides summaries and links to relevant documents and tools, including Engage2020’s Action Catalogue.

The Anthology is available in two formats:

The first out of six policy briefs will provide an overview of the key assumptions about public engagement and its policy relevance shared by the project consortium, and introduces the key levels of the research and innovation processes where we believe policy attention should be concentrated, as well as the most prominent forms of policy and activity support upon which we base our recommendations.

Policy brief 4:  Policy options to increase public engagement in science and innovation within the frame of Horizon2020

The fourth policy brief looks at policy options for stimulating public engagement in research and innovation processes (policy formation, programme development, project definition and research and innovation activities) through the lens of different dimensions of policy intervention, namely rules and regulation, infrastructures and institutions, funding and incentives, communication and promotion, capacity building, and research.
